Vegan Strip Club

Vegan Strip Club

Until a few years ago (2008) Casa Diablo – “The World’s First Vegan Strip Club” was just a vegan restaurant named “Pirate’s Tavern“. Johnny “Diablo” Zukle (the owner) stated he was amazed at how hard it was to get people to come and dine in a vegan restaurant, even in Portland, Oregon (which is widely known for being the most vegetarian-friendly city in America), Then again, there is one more thing which Portland is known for –  it is considered to have the highest number of strip clubs per capita (more than any other city in the U.S), Why not combine the two? Pirate’s Tavern became Casa Diablo – “The World’s First Vegan Strip Club“combining vegan food with naked women.

First product with a barcode

a Cool thing I learned today – Surprisingly enough, the first product to have ever had a barcode printed on it, was a packet of Gum, more specifically Wrigley’s  Gum somewhere around 1974.
